  • To establish a minimum of 15 mentorships each year

    Mentorship is...
    • an opportunity to learn through a supportive relationship with a mentor
    • a one-on-one partnership that fosters reciprocal learning and sharing
    • an individually designed experience to meet specific needs
    A Mentor is a person who...
    • has a specific expertise, knowledge, proficiency, or experience
    • has an understanding of Early Supports and Services or Preschool Special Education systems
    • is willing to support and guide another within a relationship
    • is paid $50 per hour for their time
    A Mentee is a person who...
    • is seeking guidance in the process of meeting a specific professional goal
    • is interested in learning and reflecting within a trusting relationship
    • is receptive to feedback and coaching

Guidelines of Participation
  • Obtain support from employers regarding feasibility of program participation
  • Participate in orientation to determine goals and activities within a time frame
  • Receive a support from the Mentorship Program Coordinator as needed
  • Provide feedback and evaluation data
  • Share experience and resources with other service providers
